Speed limits on roads in Mallorca

The road network in the Balearic Islands covers an area of over 1,400 km., Of which just over 50 km. are dual carriageway. In the Balearics forget to highways and motorways that dominate our journeys in the Peninsula, and focus on lower speeds, with extreme caution riders, and enjoy the scenery (the latter's companions). It never hurts to remind maximum speeds depending on the type of road on which it will operate:

In Mallorca there are four types of track:

* HIGHWAY: Maximum speed 120km / h. You can not go beyond or to overtake.
MA-1 from Palma to Andratx
MA-13 from Palma to Sa Pobla
MA-19 from Palma to Lluc Major
If the highway passes through a village, the maximum speed is 80km/h.

* Conventional road with shoulder or more than one lane for one of the two directions of traffic: Maximum speed 100km / h.
These roads are two-way traffic. It can exceed to overtake other vehicles traveling at speeds below 100 km / h.

* Conventional road without shoulder: Maximum speed 90km / h. It can exceed to overtake other vehicles traveling at speeds below 90 km / h.

* URBAN AND CROSSING WAY: Maximum speed 50km / h.

In any case, when you ride on your Mallorca car rental, look you in the signals, both binding recommendation as the maximum speed to have no fear and enjoy 100% of your vacation.
